What this is
ChalkSmart is a reference for choosing an international school in Shanghai - curriculum, tuition, admissions rules and campus locations, one profile per school. Shanghai is the first market; more may follow as the directory grows.
How the data works
Every fact on a school profile is sourced - usually from the school's own website - and dated. When a school hasn't published a figure we could verify (tuition, student population, a specific admissions rule), the field is shown as not published rather than filled in with an estimate. A handful of tuition figures are marked as third-party and unconfirmed where that's the best information available; we don't publish numbers we can't attribute to a source.
What the matcher does
The matcher scores schools against factors you choose - your child's age, preferred curriculum, budget, language needs, location - and shows the specific reasons behind each match. It's a deterministic scoring rule, not a black-box recommendation.
